USB Charger Integrated in Outlet – TruePower
We’ve been writing a lot about the ideal multi-charger solution to get rid of cable clutter. But most of those devices don’t come cheap, and they still need to be stored somewhere when not in use. The TruePower outlet, however, has integrated USB ports. Just plug in your portable device, and it charges directly from the outlet – no separate USB charger required.
Why It’s Clever
Most cell phone manufacturers have agreed to make all their devices chargeable through a USB port. That’s great, but I bet most of you still have a pile of adapters filling up your drawers, forcing you to sift through them when you need to charge that cell phone or portable game console. But there’s good news: You can now leave most of those chargers in the office. At home, your very outlet could magically charge two USB devices – directly, without needing an adapter.
The TruePower outlet can replace an existing outlet, adding two 5V USB charging ports to two 3-prong power outlets. Simply plug your device into the outlet and wait until it’s charged. If you use short USB cords, you can avoid cable clutter as well. The designer has cleverly taken care of standby power too: The USB charging ports don’t carry a current when there’s no USB plug inserted.

Tips and alternatives
No tips, just a feature request for two retractable USB cords inside the outlet. That would get rid of cable clutter completely.
