Don’t hide your cables – show them off

A product that certainly merits the clever & easy label and that’s a great example of out-of-the-box thinking is this cable-decorating solution from PA Design. While everyone else focuses on hiding cables, their approach is to show off your cables. It’s a 180-degree turn in thinking that gives a nice result.

What's This? Why It’s Clever

As much as I hate the sight of cables in my interior, there are simply some situations where you can’t do without them. You can get just about anything in a wireless version nowadays, but the only real solution to wireless power are batteries. And “battery” equals “hassle,” because you need to replace or recharge them on a regular basis.

That leaves us with those annoying power cords that you can only really hide when you’re willing to open up the walls. The guys from PA Design looked at the issue from a different angle: If we can’t hide them, let’s find a playful way to embellish them. And they did a good job. These nail-in cable clips make your messy cables look so much friendlier, you’d almost want to lay an extra cable just to add a few more. It would be nice, though, if they’d offer a few additional designs in other colors to match different wall colors, but that might be in the works already.

Summary

  • Nail-in cable clips
  • Embellish your cables when you can’t hide them
  • Buy per set of 1 bird and 12 leaves.

Tips

If your walls aren’t white, you might want to look out for matching colored power cords. They seem to be surprisingly difficult to find, though. If anyone knows a good source, share it with us in the comments section below.
