Racor Gravity Bike Rack – Organize Your Garage

Bikes are a nuisance in the garage. They always take up too much space, making it hard to park your car or to open your car door to get in or out of your vehicle. The obvious garage-organizing solution is to store them vertically by hanging them on the wall. Many space-saving bike racks are around, but most require you to drill holes, and once mounted, you can’t easily move them to another place in the garage when required. The Racor Pro PLB-2R Gravity Bike Stand might be your solution - no bolts required.

What's This? Why It’s Clever

One of the first things I did when moving into our new home was to mount a bike rack to the wall of our garage to get those bikes out of the way. Since I’m the proud owner of a power drill, that wasn’t too hard to achieve, but I can imagine that not everybody sees it the same way. Still, I don’t have such an easy solution when it comes to another inconvenience: During wintertime, I’d like to push those bikes back in the garage as far as possible, hanging them above the hood of my car. But in summertime, I don’t want to either crawl over my car each time I want to use my bike, or drive the car out of the garage to access my bike. In other words, I’d like to store our bikes near the entrance of the garage for that season. However, since our bike racks are attached to the walls with screws, I’m not going to change their place twice a year.

The Racor Pro PLB-2R Gravity Bike Rack would be my ideal solution. It simply stands on the floor and leans against the wall at the same time, not requiring any bolt to attach it to the wall (so it’s not only a space-saver but also a great time-saver). It weighs about 20 pounds, so whenever you fancy, you can simply move it to another place in your garage or garden and place it against the wall – job done! It features adjustable bike arms, allowing it to accommodate bikes for him, her, and the kids.

Summary

  • Racor Gravity Bike Stand doesn’t require bolting
  • Save space and organize your garage
  • Move it around in seconds whenever you need
  • Independent adjustment arms
  • Vinyl-coated bike cradles to protect your bikes
  • 79" tall, 26" wide
  • Extends 19" from wall
  • Also available in four-bike version.

Tips

There is also a four-bike version, the Racor Pro PLB-4R bike rack. This one can’t lean against the wall, making it less of a space-saver. Personally, I’d prefer to get two pieces of the two-bike version instead.

Another interesting solution from Racor to organize your garage is the heavy lift system. Turn you garage ceiling into storage space.

Want to drill a single hole to make sure it’s stable? Now you can make your own drill dust collector to make sure your garage remains spotless.
